Obituary for Armand DaCruz
Armand Esteves DaCruz, age 67, passed away suddenly early Sunday morning with his family by his side. Born in Meixedo, Portugal to the late Amadeau and Delfina (Esteves) DaCruz, He was a graduate of Ludlow High School, a proud Marine Corp Veteran, and a 48 year employee of Smith & Wesson, retiring in 2017. Armand was a kind, generous and humble man, always willing to help others. Most of all he loved his family; making memories, spending time with his grandchildren, and vacationing at the Jersey Shore. He leaves behind his devoted and loving wife of 22 years Deborah Scheurich DaCruz, his beloved children, Christina and her fiancé Stephen Mscisz, Lisa Bodzinski and her husband Joseph, Matthew and his fiancé Angelina Cushing, Andrew and his wife Melissa, Jill Evans, and his 9 adoring grandchildren and one on the way. He also leaves his sister and brothers, Maria Alice Axiotis and her husband Ariko, Antonio, Jose and his wife Judith, Joao and his wife Maria, and Manuel, along with many nieces and nephews and his in-laws John and Mary Scheurich. He was predeceased by his brother Joaquim, in 1992. Armand will remain in our hearts and memories forever until we meet again, may he rest in peace. Funeral services for Armand will be held on Friday September 14, 2018. Family and friends are asked to gather directly at St. Cecilia's Church in Wilbraham for a 9:00am Funeral Liturgy, procession from St. Cecilia's will follow to Island Pond Cemetery for burial with Military Honors. Visiting hours are Thursday evening from 4:00-7:00pm at the Ludlow Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Armand's honor to either Wounded Warriors Project or Disabled American Vets.
