Obituary for Charlotte (Szarlan) Clough
Charlotte Clough, 78, of Plainfield, Indiana, formerly of Ludlow, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2017. Charlotte was born November 18, 1939, Springfield, Massachusetts, to the late Adam and Valerie (Koreta) Szarlan.
Charlotte went back to school later in life and got her associates degree from Springfield Technical Community College, continuing her studies at AIC. She was an active person over the years with interests such as gardening, bargain shopping, and loved to try new cooking recipes. Charlotte also loved to travel and her favorite spots to visit were Myrtle Beach and Hawaii. She also had love for animals, children, and people. Charlotte's love and humor will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.
Along with her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband John Clough and her daughter Lynne Berniche.
Survivors include her two sons, Jeffrey (Lynda) Clough and Brian (Cindy) Clough; brother, Richard (Jane) Szarlan; Sister, Mary Fowler; and granddaughter Jessica Clough.
Visiting Hours for Charlotte will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 from 4:00-7:00pm at Ludlow Funeral Home. Family and Friends are then asked to gather for a Liturgy of Christian Burial on Wednesday, March 28th at 11:00am directly in Christ the King Church. Burial will be held at a later date and privately by the family in Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.
