Obituary for Domingos Marques
Domingos Marques, 82, of Ludlow passed away on February 28, 2018. Born in Vilar Portugal on January 16, 1936, he was the son of the late Domingos Marques and Teresa Alves and was a proud member of the Portuguese Army. Domingos immigrated to Ludlow over 55 years ago and worked for many years at Ala-Vel in Three Rivers before retiring. He was also a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church, a proud member of the Gremio Lusitano Club, and an avid soccer fan, especially of Benfica. Domingos leaves his spouse Carmen (Alves) Marques, of Ludlow; his loving daughter Maria Malovich and her husband Vince of Garden City, NY; his beloved grandson Jason Malovich; a sister Maria Dinis, of Ludlow; several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. Sadly, he was predeceased by his brother Antonio Alves in 2016. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 5th from the Ludlow Funeral Home. Visiting hours are from 8:00-9:15am Monday morning with a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:00am in Our Lady of Fatima Church followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Domingos's memory to The American Heart Association (www.heart.org).
