Obituary for Dorothy "Dot" (Jablonski) Hope
Dorothy “Dot” (Jablonski) Hope, 89, of Ludlow passed away peacefully on Sunday March 3, 2024. Born in Chicopee to the late Stanley and Franciszka (Rurak) Jablonski, she was a Chicopee High School graduate and has lived in Ludlow for many years. Dot worked at Harold’s Flower Shop in Ludlow and loved being with her family and decorating her home and yard as well as being a golfer. Sadly she was predeceased by her beloved husband Alfred Hope in 1985 and her brothers Thomas and Richard Jablonski, her sister Theresa Anne Milburn and her great-grandson Francis Egan. She is survived by her four children: Steven Hope and his wife Susan; Paul Hope and his wife Lynn; Carolyn Potter and her husband Dale; Michelle Pietras and her husband Ken. She leaves behind her eight grandchildren; Caitlin, Daniel (and wife, Madison), Katherine (and her husband, Kemar), Brian, Amanda (and her husband, Kem), Allison (and her husband, Luke), Kristen (and her fiance, Gary), and Jacob. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren: Margot, Fiona, Sky and Leandre. In addition to her immediate family, many nieces, nephews and dear friends will sadly miss her. Funeral services for Dot will be held on Monday March 11, 2024 from the Ludlow Funeral Home, 432 East Street, Ludlow. Visitation is Monday morning from 10:00am-11:15am at the Funeral Home with a Chapel Service beginning at 11:15am with Monsignor Homer Gosselin presiding. Burial will be held privately by her family.
