Obituary for Edward J. Budz
Edward J. Budz, 78, of Hampden, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2017. Born in Boston, he was the beloved son of the late Jean (Budz) Janisewski. Edward was a United States Air Force Veteran proudly serving his country and a graduate of AIC earning his Master's Degree in Psychology. He worked for many years as a vocational counselor before retiring and was also a talented accordion player playing in local bands. Ed was the beloved husband of 34 years to Lucie (Young) Budz; a loving stepfather to Paul Briand, and the late Anthony Briand his widow Deborah, and their children Lauren Cilurzo and husband Marc, and Jason Briand; a devoted nephew to the late Stella Talbot, who predeceased him in January; and also leaves many loving extended family members and dear friends.
Family and friends are asked to gather for committal services on Monday, November 20th at 1:00pm directly at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. Ludlow Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ed’s memory to The American Cancer Society (cancer.org).
